![]() Looking back, Charlie expressed his sports team’s greatest accomplishment was finishing second in the Bi-County Conference basketball race his junior year when they ended the season with a 16-10 record, the best at Warren High School in over a decade. The players knew each other so well from the earlier years of playing in the Warren County Junior Sheriff Softball League. He always loved to play against and beat Yorkwood. The win that day was the last time Warren played Yorkwood his senior year. One of Charlie’s best memories was making a last second 40-foot shot from the right side of the basketball court at Yorkwood High School. ![]() In addition he played football his freshman and sophomore years and track his first three years of high school. While noted for making baskets from (a distance) that today would register as three points on the scoreboard, Charlie Trout played basketball at Warren High School in the early 1980s when all baskets made counted as two points.Ī 1982 graduate of Warren High School, Charlie participated in basketball all four years and was a starter on the varsity team his last three years.
